Hey there loyal readers!
Last week was a long raya holiday so hubby and I decided to pay Trong Leisure Farm a visit since we love being around farms and zoos. We spent around 2 hours there strolling around the lakeside and visiting larger ponds that has hundreds of ducks.
From the highway, take exit 146 towards Cangkat Jering. When you reach a T junction with traffic light, turn right. This is when it gets tricky. After a 10 minute drive which I can't describe, turn to the right again and go straight for about 10km till you see a signboard. You need to scroll down this page to see the pictures that will guide you better.
You can also fish in the designated ponds. For 1st hour is RM15 and RM10 for subsequent hours. If you have the patience, you can fish for the whole day till 8pm for only RM50. Rental of fishing rod is RM15. Other details can be found here.
Next we sneaked into the adult duck infested pond. Trong Leisure Farm has an estimated 70 acres of land and houses 60000 ducks. The breed here is called Pekin duck.

My hand can barely touch the railing. It's like BBQ out there.
Trong Leisure Farm is situated in the small town called Terong in between Taiping and Ipoh.

You might lose your GPS signal so make sure to have an offline map. Don't learn the hard way like we did. You aren't supposed to get out of civilization and be surrounded by palm trees.
The farm is just beside the road with ample free parking space.
First thing you'll see is a lake with huge ass floating duck.
Opening hours from 9am to 7pm.
Entrance fee is RM5 for adult and RM2 for children.
There is a pork-free seafood restaurant and a Halal Malay restaurant called Naz Tomyam. BBQ set for 5-7 pax is priced at only RM120 and same price for steamboat as well.
Roasted pipah duck costs RM20for half a bird.
Bring your family for a fun paddle boat ride! The paddle boat service runs from 9:30am - 6:30pm at RM6 for 15 minutes.
Hot hot hot weather...
There are 2 ways to go to the chalets. One is a stable soiled path.
If you are feeling adventurous, you can try walking on the wooden floating bridge.
Trong Leisure Farm offers a total of 12 chalet rooms: 1 family room, 2 deluxe rooms, 4 superior rooms and 5 standard rooms. All rooms are air conditioned with attached bathroom and water heater. A family room or more of a bungalow that can accommodate 4 with a jacuzzi is priced at RM358 a night. Deluxe room at RM208, superior room RM198 and standard room RM128.
Aaah...finally found a beautiful Mandarin duck near the chalet.
Aren't the chalets gorgeous? I have not had the chance to look at the interior but you can find them online.
The buggy comes every 2-3 minute.
Though the line was long, the queue was fast.
The large duckling pond was prohibited I guess.
You will see a small pond with ducklings as soon as you arrive.
Cutie duckling quite easy to catch.

Be gentle when approaching them as they are afraid of humans.
Here's a 180 degree-ish view of the main area.
So many ducks!
Imma happy girl.
